Cops to get answers from workers of Uy’s husband

CEBU, Philippines - The homicide section of the Cebu City Police Office will invite two employees of Wayne Christopher Uy in line with the ongoing investigation into the abduction and killing of his wife, Agnelen.

Senior Insp. Elisandro Quijano said they will ask the employees to shed light on events prior to Agnelen’s death, considering that the employees were reportedly sitting with the couple in the car before Agnelen was abducted.

One reportedly alighted with a certain “Roger” at the North Reclamation Area while a certain Joel remained. When the armed men blocked their way, Wayne and Joel allegedly managed to get out of the car but the victim unfortunately failed and was then abducted.

He said the statement the two employees would give may be able help authorities answer questions that would provide missing links before they can conclude that the case is solved.

He said the testimony they have gathered, so far, cannot answer where the vehicle where she was later found, a Kia Picanto, went after the kidnapping and if a kidnapping indeed took place.

Quijano admitted the statement from Wayne and from a certain “Roger” are not enough to paint the whole picture for the case.

He said they will invite the two employees formally when they return to Cebu. The two are reportedly on vacation in Leyte for All Souls’ and All Saints’ Day. (FREEMAN)
