CEBU, Philippines - The husband and wife tandem of Atty. Christina Garcia-Codilla Frasco and Liloan Mayor Vincent Franco “Duke” Frasco for the 2016 elections was formally presented Saturday evening in time for the mayor’s 35th birthday.
Christina, the daughter for former governor and now Third District Rep. Gwendolyn Garcia, is running for mayor to replace her husband, Duke, who is on his last term. Duke, in turn, will be running for vice mayor.
Duke assured supporters his wife can continue the services and programs he implemented since 2007.
Gwendolyn and brother, One Cebu Party gubernatorial candidate Winston Garcia, presented the husband and wife tandem and their candidates for councilors to hundreds of political leaders and barangay officials of Liloan.
The candidates for councilors are Thelma Jordan, Edna Cala, Ferdinand Jumapao, Bernard Lopez, Leo Salundagit, Vidal Cañete, Roberto Motus and Leo Pilapil.
They are under the local group Democracy of the Independent Liberal Conservative (DILC)-One Cebu that Duke founded.
Liloan is the only municipality in the province’s Fifth District whose mayor is not allied with Barug Alang sa Kauswagan ug Demokrasya (Bakud) Party of the Duranos in Danao City, as well as with the ruling Liberal Party.
Duke said upgrading Liloan into a first class municipality is one achievement he can be proud of as mayor. (FREEMAN)
