CEBU, Philippines - A security guard was reportedly robbed by two men of his service firearm while he was manning his post Monday at a subdivision in Barangay Pakigne, Minglanilla town.
Kenneth Estremos, 22, who works under A-Force Security Agency, said two robbers who rode on a motorcycle disarmed him of his 12-gauge shotgun.
According to the investigation, Estremos was allegedly at the guardhouse and writing on the logbook around 2 a.m. when two men entered the subdivision and pointed at him a cal. 45 pistol.
The robbers then declared a holdup and took his service firearm loaded with ammunition, which he allegedly placed beside him.
“Mora’g nisuong ang mga suspek kay naay boom (blocking the subdivision’s entrance). Kompyansa man siya, gibuwag man niya iyang armas,” said Police Officer 2 Niki Carlo Plarisan of Minglanilla Police.
The robbers sped off while the victim immediately called the police.
Minglanilla police conducted a hot pursuit operation against the robbers but to no avail. —(FREEMAN)
