CEBU, Philippines - One died while two others were injured after the motorcycle they were riding figured in an accident with a tricycle and a six-wheeler truck in Barangay Sabang, Danao City Saturday morning.
Shary Macrojon, 25, was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital after suffering from multiple physical injuries while Mark Abe, 23, and Charen Temple, 20, were wounded and were transferred to a Cebu City hospital for further medical treatment.
Investigation showed that prior to the incident, Abe, a resident of Maslog, Danao City, drove a Honda XRM motorcycle with Macrojon and Temple as his backriders.
Macrojon and Temple were both employed at Cebu Mitsumi Inc. and were temporarily staying in Barangay Sabang.
Abe reportedly trailed a tricycle driven by Renato Duterte, 64. Both came from sitio Canlingo, Sabang and were bound for Barangay Poblacion.
Abe reportedly overtook the tricycle but the handle of both vehicles hit each other. Abe’s motorcycle swerved to the direction of an Isuzu pick-up truck driven by Ritchie Gubalane, 34, who was heading for Cebu City from Poblacion.
The motorcycle bumped into Gubalane’s truck and fell onto the pavement.
