CEBU, Philippines - Motorists are cautioned of traffic rerouting tomorrow, Sunday, as two national roads will be closed to give way for the 38th National Milo Marathon.
The Cebu City Traffic Operations Management has advised that Osmeña Boulevard – from P. Del Rosario St. to N. Escario St., and N. Escario St., from Don Gil Garcia St. up to the portion fronting Mc Donald’s – will be closed from vehicle traffic at 3 a.m. until the event is finished.
Drivers of both public and private vehicles, as well as commuters, are advised to take note of the rerouting schemes and to follow traffic signs installed at the affected areas to minimize traffic congestion.
Private vehicles coming from V. Rama Ave. are advised to access Maria Cristina St. in going to Ayala while public utility jeepneys coming from Guadalupe and Banawa shall take V. Rama Ave., turn left to J. Alcantara St. or N. Bacalso Ave., turn left to P. del Rosario St., turn right turn to Osmeña Blvd. to their usual route to Carbon Area.
In going back to, they shall follow the same route going to V. Rama Ave. then back to their point of origin.
Passenger jeeps coming from Lahug and from Apas via N. Escario St. that pass Gorordo Ave., shall turn right to F. Sotto St., turn right to General Maxilom Ave., turn left turn F. Ramos St., turn right to Junquera St., and turn right to Sanciangko St. to their usual route in going to Carbon Area.
In going back they shall follow the same route of PUJs from Lahug via Gen. Maxilom Ave., then back to their point of origin.
Also, PUJs going to Ayala coming from Labangon with route No. 12L that pass through N. Bacalso Ave. shall go straight to P. del Rosario St., turn left to D. Jakosalem St., turn left to Echavez Extension, turn right to F. Ramos St., and turn right to Gen. Maxilom Ave. in going to their usual route to the Ayala Loading/Unloading Area.
From Ayala, they shall proceed to Arch. Reyes Ave., turn right to F. Sotto St. to Gen. Maxilom Ave., turn left to F. Ramos St. in going to Junquera St., turn right to P. del Rosario St. in going to N. Bacalso Ave., turn right to V.
