CEBU, Philippines- The Cebu Provincial Police Office is eyeing local boys as the ones responsible in the robbery of Palawan Pawnshop in Barangay Buanoy, Balamban three days ago.
CPPO director Noel Gillamac considers the idea based on the unprofessional mode of operation of the robbers and the firearms used, which were .38 caliber revolvers.
“Perpetrators are local boys – usa na sa among hatagan og focus unless dunay laing ebidensiya,” Gillamac said.
Police are also reviewing the records of personalities from Toledo City and Balamban who were suspects of highway robberies in midwestern areas.
Aside from now having eyewitnesses, the Provincial Intelligence Branch will be extracting footages from the closed-circuit television camera installed at the pawnshop.
Senior Inspector Cesar Misola, Balamban police chief, said they will soon release copy of the facial composite of the robbers based on the witnesses’ description.
“We will release the facial composite ‘pag meron na para matulungan naman tayo ng publiko,” Misola said.
Last Sunday afternoon, four armed men wearing jackets robbed Palawan Panwshop and carted away almost P300,000 cash.
The robbers disarmed the security guard before they entered the pawnshop and demanded cash from the tellers.
They then fled towards Barangay Poblacion using motorcycles. —/NSA) (FREEMAN)
