CEBU, Philippines - At least five police officials are being endorsed by Cebu Provincial Police Office Director, Sr. Supt. Noel Gillamac, to Compostela Mayor Joel Quiño to be the officer-in-charge of the Compostela Police Station following the relief of Sr. Insp. Samuel Romanillos.

Bonifacio Lucerna, police chief of Pilar Police Station; Sr. Insp. Narciso Abapo, deputy chief of Naga City Police Station; and Chief Insp. Fructoso Lim, station chief of Medellin Police Station.
So far, Gillamac said there was no feedback yet from Quiño, who is eyeing Sr. Insp. William Homoc to be the town’s new police chief.

“I am just waiting for his choice aron mahimoan nako og order kay ang iyang gusto (Homoc) kay the Tuburan mayor is requesting for him to retained kay he is doing good in his job,” Gillamac said.
But, in an interview, Quiño said he has yet to choose from those on the list as he does not know much about them.
“Nagkuha pa ko og feedback sa ilang performance kay wa gyud ko kaila ani nila personally,” Quiño said.
Quiño needs to choose one after Romanillos was relieved pending investigation into the alleged release of a foreign national in exchanged for P50,000.
Ghanaian national Alexander Painstil, of Daanbantayan town, was arrested by police for allegedly smoking marijuana while he had his vehicle fixed in Compostela town on June 9.
