Masseuse files case against policeman

CEBU, Philippines - A rookie policeman is now in hot water for allegedly molesting a 23-year-old masseuse who provided him a home-service massage Sunday morning in Barangay Polambato, Bogo City.

A charge for act of lasciviousness was filed against PO1 Jeffrey Satera, 34, of Barangay Polambato Wednesday at the prosecutor’s office. Satera is assigned at the Bogo City Police Station.

PO3 Rosalie Arnoco, Women’s and Children’s Desk officer, said that based on investigation, Satera asked the masseuse on how much was her extra service, which was turned down by the victim saying, she did not offer extra service.

The victim was doing a plain body massage but when she massaged Satera’s right palm, he allegedly pulled the victim’s hand and hugged her. This caused the victim to fall on the floor and Satera allegedly went on top of her.

Arnoco said that the masseuse pushed Satera and shouted for help. The victim made her way out of the house and reported the incident to the barangay captain.

“Dili na namo madakop sa hot pursuit operation kay hesitant man ang biktima atong una. Unya anang Miyerkules na siya nibalik unya ni-file ug kaso,” Arnoco said in a phone interview.

Satera is still on duty at the police station.

Superintendent Rodulfo Albotra Jr., Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Branch chief, said though that that aside from the criminal liability of Satera, they will also be filing administrative charges against him.

“We will try to contact the complainant and encourage her to file administrative charges against the police,” Albotra told The FREEMAN.

The FREEMAN tried to reach Bogo City police chief Insp. Hermano Mallari for a statement but he was in a conference in Cebu City.— /ATO (FREEMAN)
