In Celebration of World Chocolate Day

CEBU, Philippines — To mark World Chocolate Day yesterday, July 7, Philippine carrier Cebu Pacific teamed up with Cebu-based Tabléa Chocolate to bring cheer to the most delicious day of the year. All passengers on Cebu Pacific international flights out of Cebu got a special snack pack of artisanal chocolate treats made by Tabléa Chocolate.

A homegrown Cebu brand, Tabléa Chocolate takes family heirloom recipes for Philippine cacao to beautifully refined, rich and sophisticated confections. Tabléa works with local farmers and cacao-growing communities to ensure sustainable livelihood for these people while promoting the rich flavor of Philippine cacao to the world.

Yesterday, each Cebu Pacific passenger flying out from Cebu to Incheon, Hong Kong, Singapore and Narita was treated to any one of Tabléa Chocolate snack packs: Crunchy Dark Chocolate Beans – roasted cacao beans coated with Philippine chocolate; and Mallow Cluster – chewy mallow and nuts covered in Philippine chocolate.

Cebu Pacific flies three times a week between Cebu and Narita; daily between Cebu and Incheon; up to seven times weekly between Cebu and Hong Kong; and five times a week between Cebu and Singapore.

The treats from Tabléa Chocolate represent the flavorful, luxurious essence of Philippine chocolate – distinct among other varieties in the world as it is roasted and ground from pure cacao nibs without any additives or additional ingredients. In fact, the Philippine cacao bean had been selected in the 2017 Edition of the Cocoa of Excellence Programme of the Salon du Chocolat, the annual trade fair for the international chocolate industry.

What better way to celebrate chocoholic in every one than with sweet treat that’s proudly Filipino – aboard a Cebu Pacific flight!
