“Operation Tuli” at Kinatarcan

One of the projects of the Mariquita Salimbangon Yeung Charitable Foundation, Inc. is to give free circumcision to the young boys who cannot afford the luxury of being circumcised in a private clinic or hospital.

So, last May 27, Sunday, the MSYCFI in partnership with the office of Congressman Benhur Salimbangon conducted an “Operation Tuli” in Kinatarcan Island, Santa Fe, Bantayan. The team was composed of 20 medical volunteers from Cebu Doctors University Hospital led by Dr. Henry Chua and Dr. Julian Flores and 20 non-medical volunteers from MSY Holdings, from the office of Congressman Salimbangon and some volunteers from Cebu International School.

The honorable Congressman himself and his lovely wife Janice were there to lead and support the mission. Fifty-six young boys from Kinatarcan Island were given free “tuli.” Free medicines were also handed to the boys` parents for proper medication.

And speaking of Kinatarcan… If I remember right, MSYCFI and Michelin-starred British Chef Jason Atherton and his wife Irha, have donated 11 yellow boats to the fishermen of Kinatarcan Island in Sta. Fe, last February 11, 2017 at Kandaya Resort in Daanbantayan. The fishermen were affected by typhoon Yolanda and were the beneficiaries of the joint project of MSYCFI and the Athertons.
