Gwen's Glittering Birthday Shindig

Circa 1900 was bubbling with laughter, and sweet and warm camaraderie among relatives and friends when the inimitable Representative Gwendolyn "Gwen" Garcia turned a year older some two full moons ago. Gwen, looking ten years younger than her age, especially because of her new short hairstyle, upon reaching the venue, was overwhelmed to see members of her family, friends and former classmates in perfect attendance.

Before dinner, Gwen's only son Paolo gave a short but very touching message, and followed later on with a song by her daughters Christina and Carissa (who came all the way from the USA), and daughter-in-law Michelle sang a meaningful song. But what brought the house down was the presentation of her magnificent friends led by Mariquita Salimbangon Yeung who rendered a song entitled "That's What Friends Are For." The girls wore t-shirts with Gwen's face printed one ach shirt and they all had different shades of wigs. Quite titillating!

With the Renaissance Band providing non-stop danceable music, the party went on and on until midnight. Cheers to the festejada!
