Clash of Clans nationwide

CEBU, Philippines – The country's leading mobile internet service providers - Smart Communications Inc. and Globe Telecom - have recently announced that they are respectively hosting nationwide "Clash of Clans" tourneys - inviting avid players of the hit strategy game to join.

Come August 23, the Visayas regional qualifier of Smart's "Philippine Clash 2015" takes place at SM City Cebu - with the Grand Finals of the tourney slated to happen on September 26 at the SM Mall of Asia. Over P2 million worth of prizes are at stake.

To join the competition, a clan must have five members, with each member maintaining a Town Hall Level 9 Village. The clans may sign up at www.smart.com.ph/pages/PhilippineClash2015.

Registered clans that pass the verification first compete in Qualifying Legs in Metro Manila, Southern Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao and Northern Luzon.

For its part, Globe is set to hold its "#NextLevelKa Clash of Clans" tournament at the Ayala Center Cebu on August 28 and 29.

Globe Telecom and Clash of Clans Philippines, the biggest "Clash of Clans" community in the country, recently held the country's first and biggest Clash of Clans Tournament and gathered hundreds of participants during its opening round held in Abreeza Mall in Davao and TriNoma Mall in Quezon City.

The first run of the #NextLevelKa Clash of Clans Tournament saw a total of 24 winners, 18 coming from the Individual sub-categories - Rookie, Master and Champion, and 6 champions for the clan match-up. Over the course of the two-day tournaments, the winning Clashers garnered an overwhelming 50,000 game trophies in all.

In the end, all winners from the different tournament legs meet in Manila for the Ultimate Clash Grand Championships on September 13, 2015 at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati. Cash and gems await the grand winners.

To qualify for the Globe "Clash of Clans" tournaments, a player must be a Globe customer registered to GoSURF50, the telco's consumable mobile data plan. Players should have a mobile device with internet connectivity and the "Clash of Clans" mobile game app and must be at least at Town Hall 3 level of the game and above to compete for the individual category or Town Hall 7 and above for the clan category. Troop level per Town Hall will not be considered. To register, players can just visit the Globe Prepaid booth located at the tournament venues.
