Summer Fun with Robotics & Coding

CEBU, Philippines - The first-of-a-kind Robotics & Coding program in the country is being offered in Cebu this summer - at Sage Prep Schoolhouse and Cambridge Cebu. The program has roots in Japan. Kids from 5 - 12 years old learn concepts in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, while they build models and machines on their own.

The program captures the child's imagination like no other tool can - by the fun, physical learning process. With robots, kids seven years old and up learn coding or programming via interactive play, by moving a robot in various sequences and using intuitive, visual programming on a computer screen. Robots are proving to be valuable educational tools from the lower grades all the way up to graduate school. Building and programming these devices stimulates creativity and logical thinking. And, in interacting with robots, kids learn a component of programming known as computational thinking - without even realizing it.

Program starts April 6 for 5-7 year-olds, and on April 20 for 7-12 year-olds. To contact  Sage and Cambridge Cebu, the phone number is 233-4690. (FREEMAN)
