CEBU, Philippines - Gone are the days when only "industry insiders" are privy to the cachet designs of Cebu's top couturiers, what with more and more Cebuanos now proudly donning the creations of the metro's established and up-and-coming fashion industry prime movers.
This year's Sinulog-timed fashion events effectively drove home this point - with the creations of Cebu's highly sought-after talents making headlines in events like the "Miss Cebu 2015 Coronation Night" and Island Souvenirs' "Cut and Style 2015 Fashion Show".
The candidates of this year's Miss Cebu 2015 wore exquisite fineries made by Cebu's fashion design masters and masters-in-the-making during the pageant's coronation night.
From the "Pusô-inspired" creations of Alejandro Godinez, Barbie Alvez, Peewee Senining and Rey Villegas, to the "Modern Maria Clara" gowns by Yvonne Quisumbing, Brian Aloquin, Protacio and Edwin Ao, to the "Red Terno" eveningwear designs of Albert Arriba, Marichu Tan, Jun Escario, Ditas Rodriguez, Wendell Quisido, Philipp Tampus, OJ Hoffer, William Manahan, Dino Llorren, Arcy Gayatin, Ren Manabat, and Harley Ruedas, all lent a hand in making the finale night of the 31st Miss Cebu beauty pageant a memorable celebration of Cebuano beauty, grace and talent.
