Cebu City Marriott Hotel's General Manager Patrick Carroll hosted a marvelous and elegant dinner to honor the Lifestyle scribes for their post birthday celebrations. Setting was the hotel's Sampaguita Ballroom I, a hall so big for us birthday markers. Amazing indeed was the beautifully decorated long table where imported flowers lorded over. The table's décor was tastefully designed by Debbie Huang of Simple Wishes.
Before the formal dinner began, the evening's affair started with a ballet number presented by the Ballet Center Cebu. In between sips of red wine, the exquisite, well-chosen menu was served. It was out of this world, to say the least. Our grateful thanks to PR manager Charlene Go who made wonders to make this dinner affair possible.
Honorees during this sit-down dinner were: Nelia Neri, Mayen Tan, Chinggay Utzurrum, Joe Recio, Mila Espina, Cookie Newman, Jaime Picornell, Honey Loop and this writer.
And we thank most sincerely Patrick Carroll for spending the time with us and hosting that wonderful dinner!

Over lunch at Tin Gow of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino, we met Philippe Frugere, the new General Manager of the hotel. We, meaning, the Lifestyle writers of the three newspapers in Cebu were introduced to him by Rommelle Don Mendoza, MarCom manager, who was with Antonitte Aburo Elmido, Vismin Group Sales manager. The tete-a-tete was light and warm, and we parted ways with the host saying, "till next time"!

When Deidra Garcia Vachal came home to attend her Mom's birthday former Judge Inday Garcia, her friends and classmates from St. Theresa's College gave her a sort of despedida brunch at Ayala. As if it was reminiscent of their high school days, the "girls" were laughing and giggling, and for sure they really had fun!
