Winglip Chang, president of the Grand Convention Center Cebu, on a weekday, treated some members of the press to a marvelous buffet lunch consisting of 30 varieties of Chinese, Japanese, Filipino and French cuisine. And the desserts were truly sinful!
Winglip revealed that the Grand Majestic restaurant, after renovation, can now accommodate 300 diners at one time. For private parties, there is the Tsay Tseng, for fresh seafood, the Seafood City resto and for big parties, the second floor is the place to occupy which can accommodate a thousand guests seated.
With the Grand Majestic buffet served daily at a very reasonable price, one can have everything he or she wants to eat under the sun.

St. Mark Hotel, located right across the Redemptorist Church, hosted a nice and delightful lunch for us Lifestyle writers at their commodious dining hall, Halo. Served to us were Seafood Chowder soup, Mixed Seafood Platter and Chef's Salad with Grilled Chicken Teriyaki, Breaded Pork Chop and a lot more. Joining us for lunch were Executive Chef Jeffrey Rivera and Assistant Sales Manager Alfred Buot. Jeffrey also informed us that at Halo there is buffet lunch on Fridays and Saturdays. After lunch, we were toured around the guest rooms and suites but we missed the penthouse since both suites were occupied. St. Mark Hotel has 55 rooms to boot and all rooms are well appointed.

We had a wonderful time with our media friends when one early evening, we were brought to the Blue Elephant at Apple One in Ayala for the holiday kickoff exclusive media get-together hosted by Anthony Ballreich. Anthony owns this joint and he himself manages the resto. Highlight of the delightful dinner was Anthony's presentation of his new menu for the restaurant, menus recently brought from Bangkok. But the most thrilling part of our dinner was Anthony's giving us beautiful scarves from Thailand which we will always treasure.
