Vietnam travel “Product Update”

CEBU, Philippines – A Vietnam-based travel, tours and accommodations company hosted its first “Product Update” event in Cebu on September 25 – marking the start of more events and gatherings to come.

Held in the Hillary 1 and 2 function halls of the Quest Hotel and Conference Center, representatives from Paradise Cruises and the Wlink Travel service – led by deputy general manager Pham Thanh Hung – shared how Vietnam’s tourism industry had grown, citing facts and figures to attest to the growth.

At the start of the event, Hung announced that Vietnam’s tourism index rated an international arrival figure of 7.5 million last year – with way over 100 thousand coming from the Philippines. He said that Vietnam’s number of international tourist arrivals for the first eight months of this year is already at 5,471,209 – with 72,151 of that number representing arrivals from the Philippines.

Hung also talked about the reasons why Vietnam is currently experiencing an influx of tourists and tourism activity – pointing out how a large number of the country’s places of interest, attractions and heritage sites are captivating the interests of international vacationers and tourists. He further mentioned how Paradise Cruises and its sister travel service company, Wlink Travel, have contributed to the increasing number of Vietnam-bound tourists, pointing out the different tour packages and promotions that are currently being offered by the two companies.

Wlink Travel, he said, is a team of travel experts with more than a decade of experience in Vietnam as hoteliers, tour guides and other travel industry professionals. Hung then enumerated the extensive roster of services being offered by Wlink Travel – covering its specialization in short trips of up to one week, and how Wlink Travel can offer travel packages and custom trips to different areas in Vietnam.

He also talked about how Wlink Travel’s ties with Paradise Cruises – one of Vietnam’s key accommodations and luxury tour companies – has made their luxury tours smashing hits, citing that the tours are based on what travel experts, market research partners and tourists deem as the most popular of Vietnam’s destinations, complementing these offered packages with an extensive array of quality service offerings and a competitive advantage in terms of cost.

A number of representatives from Cebu’s key tourism industry players were present during the Wlink Travel and Paradise Cruises’ first “Product Update” in Cebu. The event was expected to spark an interest in Vietnam as a travel destination.

The event had no doubt accomplished its purpose – not just in presenting tourist services Vietnam has to offer to visitors, but, overall, in showcasing the country as an interesting travel option.  More information is available at www.wlinktravel.com.
