CEBU, Philippines - Two weeks back, an article bearing the title "More Popish than the Pope" appeared in this "Fair and Fearless" newspaper (The Freeman, July 13, p. 17). It started with an exclamation "What a coincidence!" And it continued with a question: "Or was it coincidental that... early next year?"
This second part of the same title also exclaims: "What a coincidence!" It also asks: "Or was it coincidental that the front page of The Freeman of July 30, 2014 contains a headline that read "Murdered driver denied funeral mass," and on p. 31, we see the picture of Pope Francis visiting a Pentecostal Church?
The main reason for the priests' refusal to offer Mass for that murdered taxi driver was that the driver and his family were frequenting a chapel built by the Apostolic Catholic Church. Lo and behold, the head of the Roman Catholic Church Pope Francis visited the Evangelical Church of Reconciliation, just as non-Roman Catholic as the Apostolic Catholic Church.
