CEBU, Philippines - Summer is a good time for learning additional skills, like arts and crafts, ballet, basketball, theater, cooking, and others. That’s exactly what B.R.I.G.H.T. Academy has for kids and teens. There are actually more summer courses this year.
School head master Neil Montesclaros prides of their new offerings, which include Chess, Math Made Easy, Ukelele lessons, Creative Writing, and Yoga for Kids. For teens and grownups, there’s makeup tutorial, modeling, volleyball, fencing, hosting, baking, and more. Meanwhile, accessory making, archery, dancing, taekwondo, and tennis are open for all ages.
Montesclaros also delights in the growing number of enrollees taking part in the school’s summer workshops. Last year, over 800 enrolled, mostly from other schools. “We are flattered,†he says. “[This means] we are able to position our services effectively.â€
He takes the increased presence of non-B.R.I.G.H.T. students as a sign of growing interest in their summer programs. The main reason for this is probably their guarantee of providing only the best teachers and the limited slots per class, aside from the fun design of the courses. The programs are divided into the Happy Learners, Fun Artists, and Sports Minded categories.
Interested parties may visit Play House and B.R.I.G.H.T. Academy along Gov. Cuenco Avenue, Banilad, Cebu City. Classes start on May 5. (MEEV) (FREEMAN)
