APP-grade Facebook for iOS Version 5.6

CEBU, Philippines - Optimized for the iPhone 5, an update for the Facebook app for iOS was released by the social network giant last week, featuring in-app enhancements for group messaging and support for utilizing camera roll photos as cover photos (iPhone and iPod Touch only).

Compatible with iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch units running on iOS 5.0 or later, the update was released close to a month since Facebook ported its Facebook Messenger app’s VoIP calling features into the suite last February (initial availability limited to the United States and Canada).

The updated Facebook for iOS Version 5.6 allows for easier naming and group conversation finding, as well as quicker steps in starting group messages. The new version also comes with enhanced support for camera roll access for iPhone and iPod Touch users, allowing for the use and management of stored camera roll images as cover photos.

New gmail for Android

Google also released an update for its Gmail for Android email client last week, with the new version built with support for quick notification-based commands for replying, archiving and initiating searches.

For Android 4.1 and above users, the update allows for direct message archiving via notifications, just as it also comes with general performance and functions-related fixes.

Faster and better search suggestions are also featured in the new Gmail for Android, just as the new version allows for the integration of previous Gmail for Android functions like notification customizations and the assignment of specific ringtones for user-defined Gmail labels.
