Scheduled to take place every Sunday, Art @ the Park has certainly done well in expanding the artistic mindsets of Cebuanos, bringing artworks from galleries to venues where anyone can witness how Cebu’s artists have become.
Celebrating the first Art @ the Park last December 16, 2012 in the Biliran Park in the Cebu Business Park District (in front of The Terraces’ Entrance in the Ayala Center Cebu), the open-air exhibition has steadily gained traction as a venue where visual art takes center stage, bringing visual art, artists and Cebuanos together, with more viewers, collectors and participating artists anticipating every upcoming Art @ the Park gathering.
Spearheaded by Qube Gallery, Art @ the Park stands by Qube’s goals in redefining Cebu’s artistic views and mindsets, a feat which it has significantly accomplished in its less than six-months’ run.
From its debut exhibit in Sinugdanan held last October 2012 to consistently strengthening its ties with Cebu’s closely knit artist community with different events and organized programs, Art @ the Park comes as a welcome new attraction in Cebu’s undeniably growing artistic landscape, one that stands by Cebu as it greets the prospects and possibilities in 2013.
