Princess Sarah and Marcelino return to TV

CEBU, Philippines - ABS-CBN brings back the timeless stories of hit 90s cartoon series “Princess Sarah” and “Marcelino Pan Y Vino” every weekday morning beginning today.

Two of the well-loved characters on Philippine TV, Sarah and Marcelino, return to impart valuable life lessons to the new generation of viewers.

Follow the wonderful tale of Sarah Crewe, a young daughter of a wealthy English family in India, who starts attending an all-girls seminary selection boarding school in London. Tragedy strikes when Sarah’s father passes away and her family goes bankrupt, leaving her to be a poor orphan. The school’s headmistress, Miss Minchin, takes advantage of this situation and makes her a maid in the school, trying hard to make her life as miserable as possible.

Recently, Sarah has been generating buzz on social media, with memes poking fun at Sarah’s usual task of peeling potatoes going viral.

Meanwhile, join cheerful and mischievous little boy Marcelino in his adventures. Marcelino is no ordinary boy because aside from talking to animals, he can also communicate face-to-face with Jesus Christ.

Don’t miss the return of cartoon classics “Princess Sarah,” 9:25 a.m., and “Marcelino Pan Y Vino,” 9:45 a.m., beginning Monday in ABS-CBN’s new Umaganda.  (FREEMAN)
