President Benigno Aquino III has appointed Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes as commissioner-at-large of the National Youth Commission.
In the report aired over GMA News “24 Oras†on Wednesday, it said Dingdong will have a term of three years as NYC commissioner. Dingdong was happy to know about his appointment.
The Kapuso actor is known to support projects and advocacies for the Filipino youth. He is also ambassador for youth of National Commission for Culture and the Arts or NCCA.
Dingdong has started taping for his new soap on GMA titled “Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real†which co-stars him with Ms. Maricel Soriano and Lovi Poe under the direction of Maryo J. Delos Reyes.

Yesterday was the launching of Marian Rivera as the new endorser of Belo Medical Group. Her billboards for the Belo group are already along EDSA, from Caloocan City to Magallanes in Makati City. Her fans are already talking about Marian’s billboards in the various social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
The GMA Primetime Queen is endorsing body contouring and laser hair removal. She said that the laser hair removal done to her by Dr. Vicky Belo suits her.
While her current TV primetime series “Carmela†had been extended for three weeks, she was already informed what her next project will be and that is a dance show. She is also set to do a sitcom after she finishes her dance show.
Marian is happy that her career is going great, while her relationship with longtime boyfriend Dingdong is likewise getting stronger every day. She feels blessed with the way her career has turned out, same thing with her personal life. While they are both mum with regards to their wedding plans, some quarters are saying that Marian and Dong are already thinking of getting married.
But Marian has often said that they would not keep silent about their wedding plans. If they had already talked about it, they would certainly announce it since it is an important part of their lives. But for now, there are no definite plans yet.
Aside from her TV shows and numerous endorsements, Marian is also kept busy asking donations for her pet project – the pangkabuhayan project for the fishermen displaced by the onslaught of typhoon Yolanda. She wants to help provide bancas to the fishermen who lost their means of livelihood when the typhoon destroyed their bancas and homes. Marian’s goal is to provide more than a thousand bancas to the fisher folks of Northern Cebu and Eastern Visayas.
On the movie front, Marian is set to do a film with Derek Ramsay for Regal Entertainment. But they have yet to get word from Regal as to when this movie is starting. The producers are probably still looking for a good script that would suit Marian and Derek.
