CEBU, Philippines - The Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACU) will hold a human resource seminar on January 30 and 31 at the University of Cebu Banilad Campus.
Dr. Caroline Marian S. Enriquez, chair of the PACU program committee, said that the seminar would tackle laws and issues in preparation for ASEAN 2015 and K-12. ASEAN is the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, a regional bloc of 10 countries that include the Philippines.
"Under ASEAN, human resources will be able to move around the region freer. The key question for human resource person is how to manage flow of people in and out the organization over borderlines, and how to adapt people management practice to cope with the changing nature of workplace," Enriquez said.
She pointed out that as a result of differences among us, "the integration should affect each member state differently. For that reason, to learn and compare HR practice adaptation of each country may benefit in preparation for ASEAN in 2015."
The seminar regular rate is P3,800 while the early-bird rate is P3,500 for those who will register and pay on or before January 17 (Friday).
The fee shall cover tuition, certificate, course materials, lunch and coffee breaks. Check payments should be made payable to PACU at Security Bank, San Miguel Avenue, Ortigas, Pasig Branch Savings Account Number 0381-009093-002.
