Adam Levine was anti-marriage before meeting Behati

CEBU, Philippines -  Never say never! Just ask Maroon 5 rocker Adam Levine, who once told Jay Leno he would “never” make it to the altar, but popped the question to Victoria’s Secret Angel Behati Prinsloo in July after dating on and off for a year.

Levine, 35, dropped by “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” on Monday and had to explain his new stance.

“I remember talking to you one time, you telling me you were never going to get married, and now you’re engaged,” the host pointed out. “Tell me what happened here.”

“Famous last words: ‘I’ll never get married,’” Levine laughed before adding, “You know, I still don’t think you have to get married, unless you meet someone that makes you want to marry them. And then you marry them and it’s wonderful.”

Levine and his 24-year-old supermodel fiancé haven’t picked a wedding date yet. “We’re working on it,” the “Voice” coach quipped before revealing that their focus right now isn’t actually marriage, it’s Halloween. “We’re gonna do ‘Eyes Wide Shut,’ the kind of creepy masquerade thing.” (FREEMAN)
