Celebrities flock to MYOH Manila; Cebu dates set

CEBU, Philippines - Held recently at The Rockwell Tent in Manila, the brighter and more inspiring Make Your Own Havaianas 2013, which is now on its 8th year, exhibited the way Havaianas rouses the innate artistry in everyone.

The Ultimate Celebration

of Self-Expression

Hosted by Vince Golangco and Joyce Pring, the pulsating fete was graced by celebrity Havaianaticos Megan and Lauren Young, Isabelle Daza, Adrien Semblat, Pia, Maxene and Frank Magalona, Michelle Madrigal, Brent Javier, Kat Alano, Anton Del Rosario, Victor Basa, Bianca Valerio, Isabelle Roces, Rissa Mananquil-Trillo, Lexi Schulze, Alyanna Martinez, Laureen Uy, Patricia Prieto, Camille Co, Dani, Julia and Claudia Barretto, Anthony Pangilinan and Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan, Tessa Prieto-Valdez, The Morning Rush Crew — Chico Garcia, Delamar Arias, and Gino Quillamor.

Maxene Magalona made three new pairs of Havaianas to add to her growing collection—one with white straps and a blue sole which honored her alma mater, another with three stars which paid tribute to her dad, and lastly, one with a violet sole and a gold ribbon pin which spoke of her love for Hello Kitty.

With four lovely children who have at least ten pairs of Havaianas each, celebrity couple Anthony Pangilinan and Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan has, without a doubt, a family of Havaianaticos.

Every pair made during MYOH has its own unique story to tell. And true enough, Havaianaticos told theirs through the full spectrum of soles, straps, and pins available in this year’s parade of happiness, fun, and self-expression that Havaianas stands for.

A Cosmic Collaboration

With creativity being one of the brand’s distinct values, Havaianas has also been an advocate of fun-fashion and infinite possibilities when it comes to its designs. This has been marked when Havaianas met minds with notable creative icons worldwide, including Aussie surf star Luke Stedman, Italian fashion house Missoni, and even celebrity moms Courtney Cox, Nina Garcia, Rebecca Romijn, and Tori Spelling.

This year, Havaianas honored homegrown talent as it just recently joined forces with Filipino artist and illustrator Dan Matutina, for the MYOH 2013 commemorative pair.

In Cebu, Make Your Own Havaianas (#MYOHC2013) will be held at the SM Northwing from July 18 – 21, 2013 during mall hours
