Robin Padilla wants PNoy as guest in Toda Max

If there’s one personality that Robin Padilla would want to appear as a guest in their sitcom Toda Max, he is no less than President Noynoy Aquino.

Since their sitcom tackles situations or problems affecting the ordinary Pinoy, Robin believes the best way they could inform the President of the problems confronting the ordinary is letting him experience it by appearing in Toda Max which, incidentally, is celebrating its first anniversary this month.

Robin and his co-stars Vhong Navarro and Angel Locsin are happy with the support given to them by audience in the one year that Toda Max had been on air.

“Nang gawin namin ang programang ito, hindi namin naisip na basta magpatawa lang kundi makapaghatid ng aral sa aming audience,” said the action superstar who admitted he became more at ease with comedy after doing the sitcom.

“Nakakatuwang isipin na nakakapagbigay kami ng aral at maraming natutunan ang audience sa aming show. Isa pang maganda sa Toda Max ay wala kaming sapawan sa mga eksena namin kundi nagbibigayan kami at sumusuporta sa bawat isa,” added Robin.

The first anniversary celebration of Toda Max is titled Tribute to ABS-CBN Comedy Shows to recognize the many unforgettable comedy shows at the Kapamilya network. The production staff of Toda Max believes that the past top-rating comedy shows on ABS-CBN inspired them to bring back comedy to the fore and made Toda Max a big success.

Will Robin get his wish to have PNoy on the show? Maybe he should ask the help of Kris Aquino (his partner in the forthcoming tv drama series Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw) so that his dream of seeing Pnoy on Toda Max will come true.

Another person who enjoyed her stint in Toda Max is actress Angel Locsin. She is better known as a dramatic actress and agreeing to do Todo Max can be considered a risk since Angel is not really a comedienne. But thanks to the support given her by Robin Padilla and Vhong Navarro, doing comedy became an exhilarating experience for Angel. She found out that she can do well in comedy, just as effective like she would a drama series.

“Masarap katrabaho sina Robin at Vhong kasi hindi sila maramot sa suporta. They made me feel at ease, lalo na nung umpisa kasi nga first time ko lang maging mainstay sa isang sitcom,” kwento ni Angel. “Malaki rin ang tulong ng aming director kaya madali kong naitawid mula sa paggawa ko ng action scenes sa Asian Treasures tapos comedy naman dito sa Todo Max.”

For the month-long anniversary of Toda Max, their guest lineups are Epi and Vandolph Quizon, Ai Ai de las Alas and Richard Gomez from November 10 to December 1.
