Gothong Southern Properties unveils Cebu expansion plans

CEBU, Philippines — Capitalizing on Cebu’s strong real estate potential, Gothong Southern Properties is set to expand its residential developments following the success of the “Yello City @ Salinas” condominium project in Lahug.

Ronald D. Velasquez, GSP’s Chief Operations Officer (COO) said the company’s strategic focus on maximizing the potential of prime locations.

“We have positioned ourselves in the most strategic and prime properties within Cebu City and Mandaue City through our land banking strategies. These properties give us a significant advantage in developing residential condominiums and mixed-use spaces that foster self-sustaining communities. This approach reduces long commutes and creates convenience for residents,” he said.

GSP is also setting its sights on suburban areas to diversify its offerings.

“While developing existing properties, we are actively scouting for suburban areas to convert into future house-and-lot communities. These will cater to family-oriented buyers, striking a balance between space and affordability. These developments will soon become a part of our expansion portfolio,” Velasquez added.

Ronald Y. Versaga, GSP’s Business Development Officer, highlighted the company’s vision of providing “affordable premium developments” through a balanced growth strategy.

“Our current expansion plans include a diversified portfolio comprising residential, commercial, hospitality, and industrial projects. With many of our properties in prime locations, we are confident in competing with both local and national developers,” Versaga said.

Recently, GSP held a ceremonial topping off of first YCS building located in Salinas Extension, St. Lahug, Cebu City.

According to Versaga GSP’s strength lies in designing exclusive developments equipped with top-tier amenities and constructed with high-quality materials.

“These factors give us confidence to deliver projects that resonate with the evolving preferences of our market,” Versaga added.

Looking ahead, Velasquez emphasized GSP’s commitment to creating projects that blend exclusivity with lifestyle needs. “Our focus is on delivering specialized developments that balance lifestyle demands and price points, ensuring accessibility without compromising quality.”

While Cebu’s real estate is poised for further growth in 2025 with sustaining and stronger demand across residential, hospitality, qnd mixed-used sectors, Gothong Properties is ready to take advantage of these opportunities.

“We look forward to 2025 with optimism, driven by the growing appreciation for thoughtfully designed developments at accessible price points,” Velasquez noted.
