CEBU, Philippines – A Danish architect is bringing in international and modern architectural technology to Cebu and work with local architects and engineers to realize an iconic condominium building in Cebu.
Iron Wood Property Ventures Corporation (IWPVC) has commissioned Jakod Knudsen to work with Cebuano architects, led by Zechoslo "Bong" Laninitay, to come up with cutting-edge building architecture design for the P400 million North Star Condominium project located in Larrazabal Avenue, North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City,
The 16-storey building, which will provide a total of 186 condominium units, is right on schedule with its target completion and unit turn over by the second quarter of 2017.
Knudsen, a professor at the school of architecture in Copenhagen, Denmark, vows to introduce a technology that will suit the environment and geographical nature of Cebu, with a special attention on earthquake protection, ventilation, among others.
A joint venture, between a local investor and a Singapore-based financial corporation, IWPVC is also drawing plans for more residential projects, including a possible resort plan in the northern outskirt town in Cebu.
North Star Condominiums is the company's initial offering to address the fast rising demand for residential facilities in Mandaue's next busiest business district, the North Reclamation, said Rupert Von Seiden in an earlier interview.
Established five years ago, IWPVC has pioneered in the development of serviced apartment facilities in Cebu, through Copenhagen Residences which offers 98 fully-furnished units for short and long staying transients, located at the A.C. Cortes Avenue in Mandaue City. (FREEMAN)
