CEBU, Philippines - Cebu’s premier lifestyle destination for shopping, dining and entertainment, once again recognized local tour operators and tour guides for the annual Tourist Incentive Program.
Held last May 17 at the Activity Center, Ayala Center Cebu awarded the top performing tour guides and tour operators of 2013 who brought in the biggest number of tourists to the mall.
Intended to provide special discounts and privileges to tour guides and operators, Ayala Center Cebu’s Tourist Incentive Program aims to position Cebu as the preferred shopping and travel destination since its inception in 2003. The program gives tourists discounts from participating outlets and freebies to enjoy when they register at the Turista Desk. A feature unique only to Ayala Center Cebu, the Turista Desk is an information and assistance booth that promotes tourism and builds partnerships with the front-liners of the tourism industry.
The awarding was a night of fellowship as tourism industry players and patrons gathered together to congratulate the winners of this year's Tourist Incentive Program.
Rolly Badayos bagged third place as top tour guide, Mary Grace Melendres came second and Renato Noval won first place, contributing to a total of more than one million pesos in sales. They all received cash prizes, gift certificates and plaques from Ayala Center Cebu.
Friendship Tours and Resorts won third place as the top three tour operators while HIS Travel Corp., Cebu won second place. World of Adventure Travel and Tours bagged first place generating almost seven hundred thousand pesos in sales. The winners all brought home cash prizes, gift certificates and plaques.
To cap the night off, singer-songwriter and Asian sensation Karylle showcased her singing prowess as she launches her latest album, “K.†(FREEMAN)
