CEBU, Philippines - Maintaining long-term business relationships with other industries is as essential as the business itself and its success.
This is mainly the reason why Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino and Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino Mactan have an event called "Top Accounts Appreciation Party" to recognize the vital contribution of the two hotels’ business partners in the success of their operation last year, top company officials said.
"It’s really about relationship," said Carlo Marcelo Sainz, resident manager of WCCHC. "This is not just about the company but rather this is an event also for our clients."
The two Waterfront hotels have recognized various travel agencies and corporate friends for being a consistent and loyal industry partner for years.
The appreciation event is being done every year to express the company’s gratitude and pleasure to its business associates, Sainz told The FREEMAN in an interview.
"You know it’s the other way around, it’s them (partners) who give us so much trust," he said. "When they have events or parties, they go to us."
He noted, for instance, that ALA Production has been choosing for so many years Waterfront as venue of its events: "They always come to us and partner with us."
WAHCM’s top travel accounts are Yoohan Travel and Tours, Hana Tour, Nubeeda Tour, MT ARS Dream; and Friendship Tours.
Its top corporate accounts are PAL Express, Cebu Microelectronics, Inc., SDV Philippines; Tsuneishi Heavy Industries, and Muramoto Audio Visual, Inc.
Agoda received a special award from the hotel for being the top online travel agency for 2013.
On the other hand, WCCHC also awarded its top travel accounts: H.I.S (Philippines) Travel Corporation, Attic Tours, ARS Dream, Friendship Tours and Philippine Travel Factory.
Waterfront Cebu’s top corporate accounts are Samaritan’s Purse, WIPRO Cebu, KEPCO SPC Power Corporation, Teletech Customer Care, and SSI Philippines. It awarded Agoda and Expedia for topping online travel agencies for 2013.
In addition, special awards were given to ALA Promotions for being the Top Event Producer for 2013, Philsutech as Top Convention for 2013, TSE Live, Inc. as Top Concert Producer for 2013 and Rice Paez of FAME as the Top Wedding Planner for 2013.
Citichurch and Little Angels Montessori School of Cebu were also given special awards.
The Waterfront Hotels & Casinos Cebu and Mactan also expressed gratitude to Daemyung Corporation, PAGCOR Cebu and PAGCOR Mactan which all received special awards for being their long-running corporate partners.
