CEBU, Philippines - The Visayan Electric Company (VECO) announced the opening of its service branch in Consolacion, a buzzling residential and business district in the northern part of Cebu.
The newest service center is conveniently located at the SM mall in Consolacion. This is VECO's third service branch following the south extension office in Talisay City and the full-service center at the SM Cebu at the North Reclamation Area.
The opening of the Consolacion branch is part of VECO's long-term strategy to expand its services across its franchise area to support the rapid development of businesses in Metro Cebu and will provide VECO's customers, particularly those in Consolacion and Liloan areas with increased accessibility to an array of services starting with service applications, customer inquiries and complaints, transformers and line deposits and reconnection requests.
VECO's Customer Retail Services department manager Engr. Bailey del Castillo said that VECO understands that convenience is important to its customers and “ We are pleased to provide them with another service location that will meet their needs.â€
This business center is operated by a third agent, the CESMEC Services who is authorized accept transactions in behalf of VECO. Del Castillo however clarified that the VECO Consolacion service branch will not accept payments for bills. “This is because we have existing agreements with other third party agents (TPAs) for our collection. These TPA's have also their collection branches inside the mall and in nearby premises. SM Consolacion is itself an accredited VECO collector and customers can pay at the supermarket or the malls business center,†del Castillo explained.
Open Monday to Sunday from 10am-7pm, the new VECO service branch is equipped with five customer service representatives and a supervisor provided by contractor CESMEC to attend to VECO customers' concerns. (FREEMAN)
