Filinvest launches new house models

CEBU, Philippines - Gotianun-led Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI) officially launched a series of its new model units this year in response to the evolving housing needs of Filipinos with Aldea del Sol primarily kicking off the inauguration.

During the groundbreaking of the production units last Saturday, FLI top officials formally introduced the two duplex house models named Amber and Opal which are envisioned to make townhouse living an attractive and affordable residential option for starting families and young earners.

These new model units will be initially offered in the last phase of the Aldea del Sol.

Launched in 2004, Aldea del Sol is a Spanish Mediterranean-inspired community that sits on a 10-hectare property including its newest phase that accounts two hectares of the entire development.

The project that is located in Bankal, Lapu-Lapu City consists of six phases with a total of 685 units, 76 of which will be housed in the last phase.

FLI Visayas area general manager Lydwena Eco said that among other property developments, Aldea del Sol boasts of a built-up community complete with utilities, features and amenities such as swimming pool, clubhouse, gazebo, basketball court, children’s play area, road networks, power and water distribution and perimeter wall.

“While other developments are still in the pre-selling stage, Aldea del Sol is already a thriving and fully-developed community. Its land development and perimeter fence is already finished. Homeowners need not to wait for the construction for a long time since the initial works are ready,” she said.

Eco revealed that FLI has invested P100 million for the last phase of Aldea del Sol.

She further said that the real estate company has continuously grown over the years, offering full range of residential products from vertical to horizontal developments across multimarket segments.

“FLI recently came up with new and fresh house models that are more attuned with the changing times and the growing market. These are primarily designed to cater to the basic residential needs of start-up families particularly the affordability of houses,” she said.

The Amber unit is a two-bedroom, two-storey duplex model with a floor area of 40.31 square meters on a typical lot size of 72 square meters. The Opal model, on the other hand, is a three-bedroom, two-storey duplex unit with a floor area of 53.60 square meters that sits on a 72-square meter lot.

The prices of the two models range from P1.2 to P2.2 million.

Eco cited that to date, 20 units of the last phase are already sold. Units in the sixth phase of Aldea del Sol are scheduled to be turned over next year.

FLI recently presented its clubhouse and amenities of the Amalfi Oasis of Citta di Mare, reporting that the 150-unit building has already turned over 100 units to the owners. It also had its latest concrete pouring in the Amalfi area two weeks ago. To date, three-building community is already 50 percent sold out.

Citta di Mare is designed to be an Italian-inspired retreat by the sea occupying a portion of the South Road Properties (SRP). As the joint venture project with the Cebu City government, it is a 50.6 hectare development with nine residential condominiums and buildings such as Amalfi Oasis, Piazza, Il Corso and San Remo Oasis.

Next to Amalfi Oasis that targets the high-end market, San Remo Oasis is a medium-rise condominium community that is composed of a cluster of five buildings. According to Eco, the real estate developer felt the need to launch another building soon since it is already 85 percent sold out given the positive market reception and good sales take-up.

Il Corso, on the other hand, is a 10-hectare retail development in SRP, earlier announced its partnership with Lantaw Restaurant of the Pages Holdings. Set to open on September, the restaurant shall operate its third branch in the development site that is scheduled to completely open in 2016.
