CEBU, Philippines - A local company recently introduced a Manila-brand beverage in the Cebu market, considered to be its flagship product as a new entrant in the distribution industry.
Last March 2, Senpur Trading launched its flagship product as the exclusive distributor of Allmytea Iced Tea in Cebu.
Allmytea is manufactured by Marventure Corporation that follows strict Current Good Manufacturing Practices through the use of Sanitation Standard Procedure.
According to general manager Stacy Rubie Señor Purugganan, Senpur Trading started just this year with its mission to introduce and provide Cebuanos with quality and safe products.
Allmytea is a tea concoction that consists of real brewed tea with real calamansi juice, orange squeeze, sugar, water, and vanilla extract.
Since it is made from all-natural ingredients, it does not have artificial flavoring and is rich in fiber and Vitamin C.
Purugganan considered the nutritional impact of the beverage as its competitive edge in the beverage market, citing that Allmytea consists of antioxidants that could help lower blood pressure and bad cholesterol, prevents cancer, reduce risk of hypertension, boost body’s defenses, delay Alzheimer’s disease and help fight acquired immunodeficiency syndrome.
“Aside from its health benefits, its taste is very different from the other iced teas in the market. Allmytea uses the black tea that is considered to have the strongest flavor of all kinds of tea since it is fully-fermented and oxidized,†she said.
She added that Senpur Trading intends to cater to the needs of the AB market segment and widen its reach in households, restaurants, hotels, resorts, caterers, sports clubs, specialty shops and schools.
Unlike in Manila where Allmytea is being distributed to retail establishments such as Landmark Supermarkets and Pioneer Center, Purugganan clarified that partnering with retail outlets in Cebu may not be possible as of the moment due to the life span of the beverage.
Allmytea ready-to-drink iced tea with sizes at 350 ml and 500 ml has a shelf life for four months. There is also the Allmytea concentrate that lasts for 6 months in shelf life. It could be used for making foamy frapped iced tea, iced tea shake and cocktails.
In Manila, it currently has 70 active accounts of restaurants and caterers which includes JT’s Manukan Grill, Uncle Moe’s Shawarma Hub, Via Mare Catering, Red Chef Events Specialist and Dell’s Catering.
To date, Allmytea has earned local sponsors in Cebu such as Japengo Japanese Restaurant, Popeye’s Grill House, and Café de France – Robinsons.
Targeting to reach half of the 70 accounts in Manila by yearend, Purugganan said that the company aims to increase its monthly distribution of 20 boxes to more than 40 to 50 in the succeeding months.
Since there is no manufacturing plant yet in Cebu, Marventure Corporation ships the products to Senpur Trading in a period of 12 days.
She further revealed that the manufacturing company is currently working out on more flavors and is eyeing to introduce Allmytea in Davao as the second market outside Manila. —(FREEMAN)
