CEBU, Philippines - J Centre Mall in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) as well as the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) will hold a two-day job fair on January 26 and 27, from 10:00AM to 5:00PM at the mall’s activity center.
“We offer our mall services to provide career opportunities to Cebuanos,†said Douglas Chiongliu, the assistant general manager of J Centre Mall.
“We maximize the accessibility of the mall, transportation-wise, to make it easy for jobseekers to get jobs through holding job fairs like this,†Chiongliu added.
The organizers are expecting hundreds of applicants and at least 20 participating employers.
“This is already the third job fair event of J Centre Mall and we will definitely continue to seek partnerships with different companies in order to make this an even bigger event soon,†said Warren Barot, the human resources department (HRD) consultant of the J Centre Mall.
“Even the J Centre Mall will accept applicants on this job fair,†Barot added.
The employers include business process outsourcing (BPO) companies, namely, Stream Global Services, Xlibris, Qualfon, EPerformax, Teleperformance, Taking You Forward, KUDO Support and Accenture Philippines.
Cebu’s widest job-listing website, MyNimo, will also be participating in this event.
The SEA Olympus Marketing Inc., Nexus Properties and Andy Hotel are also expected to grace the job fair.
The giant wholesale grocery and shopping centers, S&R and SM Hypermart, will also open their doors for new applicants. Other companies include Watsons, Gold’s Gym, Avon, Dunkin’ Donuts and District 50. (FREEMAN)
