BACOLOD, Negros Occidental, Philippines — The final leg of this year’s 10-leg Philippine Golf Tour kicks off today at the Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club here.

Reymon Jaraula enters the ICTSI Negros Occidental Classic fresh from his dramatic one-stroke victory in Binitin last week, where a crucial par-saving putt on the 72nd hole allowed him to edge veteran Angelo Que.

Jhonnel Ababa, winner of the Apo Classic, and Lloyd Go, fresh off a win at Palos Verdes, are also out to become the first two-leg winner of the season. Other contenders include Clyde Mondilla and Que, young players Sean Ramos and Keanu Jahns, and veteran Tony Lascuna.

Meanwhile, the country’s top lady golfers resume their search for leg honors and spots to the highly anticipated Match Play Championship.

It’s the last chance for many to firm up their rankings, with only the top 16 advancing to head-to-head Match Play Championship set for Nov. 26-29 at The Country Club in Laguna.

Key contenders include Kristine Fleetwood, Daniella Uy, Laurea Duque, Lee Ji-won, Rev Alcantara and Chanelle Avaricio.
