MANILA, Philippines -- Former NBA player and San Miguel Beermen import Shabazz Muhammad is back in the PBA, this time for the Magnolia Hotshots.
Muhammad, who once scored 57 points for the Beermen in the 2021 PBA Governors’ Cup, is replacing foreign reinforcement Glenn Robinson III ahead of Magnolia’s clash with the Meralco Bolts on Saturday in Panabo City.
Robinson was relegated to the team’s import injured/reserve list.
The Panabo game will kick off the Hotshots’ second round of the eliminations.
The import change came after Magnolia won two straight games and finally went above .500.
Robinson was a steady force for the Hotshots in five games, but the team has had an up-and-down conference thus far.
The squad is currently in third place in Group A play.
