MANILA, Philippines — The Camp John Hay Golf Club is all set for the Chairman’s Charity Cup tomorrow with over 200 golfers to vie for the division titles.
Club chairman Bob Sobrepeña is expected to lead the two-day tournament which serves as the opening salvo to the grand celebration of its 25th year as a premier golfing destination in the north.
“We are excited to kick off the year with the Chairman’s Cup. There’ll be more tournaments lined up including the forthcoming yearly Corporate Cup in March,” said CJHGC general manager Jude Eustaquio.
To spice up the event, a Toyota Wigo, a Club Car golf cart, a golf set by XXiO and P100,000 cash are up for grabs as hole-in-one prizes.
“What’s enticing is that the Wigo will be raffled if no one makes an ace,” said Eustaquio, adding that AIP Construction, The Manor and Forest Lodge at Camp John Hay and Golforce are gold sponsors. Silver sponsors are Megatesting Center, J-Ten Sports and Toyota Baguio, with Kaiser International Health Group, Poblador Bautista & Reyes Law Office, Abomar Equipment Sales, The Turf Company, Golf Carts PH, MRT Dev. Co., Escala Tagaytay, Travelers Insurance, Forest Hills, Manila Southwoods, Sherwood Hills, Baguio Country Club, Sacyat Law Office, Connectify Ic, FMMI, Hillstation Bistro and Amare La Cucina as other backers.
