MANILA, Philippines — Another Tiger in Brent Paraiso has left the Santo Tomas lair following the controversy that erupted with the discovery of the team’s training bubble in Sorsogon.
“Nakakalungkot pero kailangan. Mahal na mahal kita UST (It’s sad but I had to. I love you, UST),” posted the 6-foot-2 guard in his social media account yesterday.
Paraiso, who spent two years with La Salle, played one year for the Tigers and had a key role in their amazing finals run in Season 82.
He normed 7.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists. It’s still uncertain where Paraiso will be heading.
Paraiso became the second player to pack his bags and out of the Espana-based school after ex-team captain CJ Cansino, who had transferred to University of the Philippines.
UST’s fate on the alleged bubble issue seen as possible quarantine protocol breach will be determined next Tuesday in the meeting of the IAFT fact-finding body made up of Philippine Sports Commission, Department of Health and Games and Amusement Board with the Commission on Higher Education and UAAP.
