MANILA, Philippines — This early, the National Collegiate Athletic Association is looking at delaying the start of the next season.

According to Fr. c, OP, athletic moderator of NCAA Season 96 host Letran, the league may pass up on its traditional season opener in July because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Calvo said the NCAA is considering “extraordinary” measures to deal with the issue.

“We have to come up with ideas outside the ordinary for us to make the incoming NCAA work,” said Calvo, who regularly meets with fellow members of the management committee online.

Jose Rizal’s Paul Supan was tasked to formulate the innovations and should come out with proposals soon.
