MANILA, Philippines – The Premier Volleyball League and Philippine Superliga playing sweet music together?

You bet.

The two leagues will be competing in a national tournament beginning July 2020 in both a reinforced and all-Filipino conference that will follow each league's respective competitions.

"Both leagues have agreed in principle to work towards this," bared Joey Guillermo, who will oversee the competition as tournament director. "It will be a national tournament for volleyball to determine the best club in the land."

Sportsman Raffy Villavicencio was instrumental in uniting the two leagues that are run by Richard Palou (PVL) and Dr. Ian Laurel and Philip Ella Juico (PSL President and Chief Operating Officer and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, respectively).

"With the cooperation of the two leagues along with the support and guidance of the Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas Inc. (LVPI), this will greatly help in the development of volleyball throughout the country," added Guillermo.
