MANILA, Philippines — Top cockers of the National Cockers Association and their invited guests slug it out in today’s NCA derby which has lined up over 100 super fights at the Ynares Multipurpose Building in Pasig.
Host former Gov. Ito Ynares said NCA members competing are Patrick “Idol” Antonio, Atong Ang, Manny and Arman Santos, Richard Perez, Ricky Magtoto, Fil-Am Rene Medina, Ynares, Eddie Gonzales, Ador Pleyto and Boyet Legaspi, Pipo Soliman, Eric dela Rosa, Elan Nagaño, Jun Arcilla, Gladwyn Gomez, Nestor Mercado, Lito Orillaza, Alex Ciruela, Jojo Cruz, Cholo Violago, Dante Eslabon, Jun Bacolod, Jun Roble, Efren Canlas, Tony Marfori, Jimafer and Edgar Santos.
The guests are Frank Berin, Nene Araneta, Mayor Ilyong Hernandez, Boy Torres, Rhona Bullecer, Mayor Boyet Ynares, James Uy, Anthony Lim, Bong Pineda with two entries and Ang plus one extra entry and Antipolo Cocker-Councilor Adiong.
The super fights pit the very best cockers in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, said Ynares, pointing to a showdown among Ang, Antonio, Pineda, Manny and Arman Santos, Magtoto, Ador Pleyto and Boyet Legaspi.
The next derby is set March 19, with Firefly Group, Jojo Cruz, Cholo Violago and Bailey as hosts.
