Bike King duathlon up in Clark

MANILA, Philippines — Duathlon action returns to the Clark Global City as Bike King Philippines, one of the country’s leading race organizers, holds the 2018 edition of the run-bike-run event on Sept. 9 with a huge field clashing for top honors.

Over 850 participants have signed up for the event, a mainstay on the multisport calendar since 2012, featuring the long-distance 6km run – 60km bike – 4km run, and the short-distance 3km run – 30km bike – 2km run.

The headwind, rolling terrain, and false flats all make for one exciting and challenging race regardless of distance. The run course takes duathletes through Clark Global City’s main roads, while the cycling route includes loops on a stretch of about 15km of the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx).

Specially designed trophies and gift items for the winners in the age-group, relay, and team competitions are at the stake in this event presented by Clark Global City and NLEX-SCTEx and supported by FamilyMart, TIMEX, Standard Insurance, Gardenia, Clark Water, Nescafe’ Dolce Gusto, Vittoria, and partner hotels The Villages at Global Clark and Royce Hotel.

Duathletes can also take advantage of early-bird rates for the My Daily Collagen (MDC) Triathlon (formerly known as Bike King 1) on Feb. 24, 2019 in Subic. Drop by the MDC booth on Sept. 8 and 9 in the duathlon expo to register on-site.
