Telus repels Acquire in BPO volley

MANILA, Philippines — Telus International Philippines’ (TIP) fought back from two sets down and pulled through in the decider, hacking out a 24-26, 23-25, 25-22, 25-19, 16-14 decision over Acquire to stretch its win run in the 2018 BPO Olympics women’s volleyball at the Meralco gym last Sunday.

After dropping the first two sets, the TIP spikers came up with  adjustments and limit their errors to anchor their stirring fightback and nail their third straight victory.

Customer service representative Ma. Angela Camille Picar led TIP’s late charge with her hustle plays, leading to a number of scoring opportunities. She went on to bag the best Player of the Game honors.

TIP goes up for a fourth win against Concentrix on July 1 at the same venue.

The BPO Olympics is an annual sporting event for the BPO industry with tournaments for various sports such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, airsoft, billiards, darts, cheerdance, football and marathon.
