MANILA, Philippines – Caida Tiles guns for its third straight win and the solo lead as it clashes with a resurging Wangs Basketball while Phoenix-FEU and AMA University tangle at the resumption of the PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup at The Arena in San Juan today.
The Tile Masters smothered the Tanduay Rhum Makers and the AMA U side to kick off their title campaign but will have their hands full against the Couriers in their 4 p.m. encounter.
Wangs rallied from 18 points down to beat Mindanao in overtime, 97-88, last week, giving the Couriers some push as they go up against the fancied Tile Masters.
Jiovani Jalalon, Jayson Perkins, Jonathan Grey and Rey Nambatac are expected to lead Caida’s charge while Wangs will pin its hopes on the likes of Gwyne Capacio, James Mangahas and Francis Munsayac.
