MANILA, Philippines -- The Singapore Slammers dethroned the defending champion Micromax Indian Aces after a 26-21 victory in the final day of the Coca-Cola Premier Tennis League Season 2 in front of ecstatic home crowd at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Sunday night.
The Slammers came from behind winning the final two sets with Stan Wawrinka beating Bernard Tomic, 6-3, then he teamed up with Marcelo Melo and scored another 6-3 win against the pair of Ivan Dodig and Rohan Bopanna.

Slammers' Belinda Bencic won the MVP honors for the ladies while Aces' Dodig was named the MVP in the men's side in the tour which expanded to five cities this year.
