MANILA, Philippines – Unilab Active Health’s (ULAH) Tri United is holding the season-ending Tri United 4 Nov. 22 at the Fontana Leisure Park at Clark, Pampanga, with 650 bets participating.
The race course, specially designed to be beginner-friendly, features a 600-meter swim at the water park’s Olympic-size pool, 20K biking around the Clark grounds and 5K run on the rolling paths of the resort.
The event, organized by Bike King headed by Raul Cuevas, is supported by ULAH, Fontana, Active Health Carb Gel, Enervon HP, Oral Rehydration, Salts Hydrite Granules, WeatherPhilippines, Timex, Saucony, Orbea, Clark Freeport, Gardenia, Multisport, SwimBikeRun,ph, Spin.ph and RaceDay.
Athletes will start five at a time with a one-minute interval separating each wave of athletes. Organizers said the rolling start ensures even distribution of athletes in the swimming pool and minimizes physical contact which normally happens in a traditional triathlon massed swim start.
At stake are medals and gift packs for the top three male and female category winners. The awarding ceremony starts at 11:30 a.m. at the Active Health Village.
For the 2016 season, Bike King has scheduled events at Subic Feb 28, July 3 and Oct. 23 and Fontana Leisure Park on Nov. 23.
