MANILA, Philippines – Roy Sausa and Gerardo de Chavez combined for a net score of 252 in Stableford format to capture the low net crown in the 4x4 Eagle Ridge Invitational presented by Concepts Golf Management at the Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club in Cavite over the weekend.
The duo pooled an 84 at the Norman course, shot an 80 at Faldo and strung up a pair of 44s at Dye and Aoki layouts to dominate the huge field in the posh club’s signature tournament
Raymund Sangil, Orchard’s golf director, and Dan Emilio Cruz, one of the country’s leading amateurs, shared podium honors, bagging the overall best gross championship for the third straight year after a 213.
But the day belonged to Frank and Danny Gutierrez, who drove home the main prizes – two Toyota Wigo cars in the raffle.
Eagle Ridge club director Ramil Villanueva and guest partner carded a 249 to clinch the Class A trophy with Francis Taylan-Jun Acosta pooling a 239 for second and Vic Onella-Mario Lugay tandem third with a 236.
