Many of golf’s young superstars have launched their careers through the Faldo Series created by Nick Faldo in 1996 to give opportunity to young people through golf and to help identify and nurture the next generation of champions.
Supported by golf’s governing bodies, 40 annual tournaments now take place in 30 countries worldwide, spanning Europe, the Middle East, North and South America, and Asia.
Boys and girls aged 12 to 21 can take part.
With the fields divided into five age-categories, three boys and two girls from each event qualify for either the Faldo Series Europe Grand Final in the USA or the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final in China. Both are World Amateur Golf Ranking events hosted by the six-time major champion.
The Faldo Series also aims to create access to the sport for a younger audience through grass-roots initiatives at its tournaments. More than 7,000 young talented golfers benefit from the programme each year through a unique combination of tournament experience and expert advice, including support and advice from Faldo himself.
