MANILA, Philippines - Another edition of Boxing Kontra Droga will be held tonight, starting at 6 p.m., at the Flash Grand ballroom of the Elorde Sports Center in Sucat, Parañaque.
Promoted by businessman-sportsman Johnny Elorde in cooperation with the Rotary Club of Manila 101, the double main event card features Philippine bantamweight champion Monico Laurente against veteran Prell Tupaz in 10 rounds. This is Laurente’s tune-up fight for his bout in Osaka, Japan on Dec. 5.
Supporting the event is the match pitting Glenn Suminguit from Sibugay, Zamboanga against Edison Berwela of Camarines Norte, also for 10 rounds.
Battle-tested fighter Rene Patillano fights tough Arjet Caballes while Wilbert Berondo faces Roy Lagrada in a pair of 8-rounders.
Six-rounders pit Raymond Yanong of Negros Occidental vs Daffy Dempo of Mandaluyong, Marlon Paniamogan of Surigao del Norte vs Diover Mangaya-ay of Muntinlupa, and Jetlee Formentera of Angono, Rizal vs Ariel Alapormina of QC.
In a pair of four-rounders, upcoming Dan Brian faces Robin Dingcong and Arvin Yurong plays opposite Jerry Kalaw.
